Srirangapatna Chalo Rally: Section 144 Of CrPC Imposed In Karnataka's Mandya, 500 Policemen Deployed
In Karnataka's Mandya, Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in wake of the 'Srirangapatna Chalo' call given by Vishnu Hindu Parishad (VHP). The rule has been imposed for 12 hours (6:00 am to 6:00 pm), 500 police personnel have been deployed and weekly markets and liquor sale have been banned in the five-kilometre radius. Furthermore, CCTV cameras have been installed and masjid road has been closed.

Memorandum Filed Seeking Permission For Hindus To Offer Prayers At Jamia Masjid: Mandya
After a memorandum was filed by right-wing activists seeking permission to allow prayers to be offered at Jamia Masjid in Karnataka's Mandya, state Congress working president Eshwar Khandre claimed that they are trying to "create communal trouble". He furthered appealed to them to "maintain peace". The memorandum has been filed claiming that the masjid is built over a Hanuman temple, due to which, Hindus must be permitted to offer Puja.

Karnataka: School Snatches Answer Sheets Of Students For Half-Fee Payment
Around 25 class10 students in Karnataka's Mandya were stripped from their answer sheets mid-exam as the authorities alleged that they paid only 50% tuition fees. Moreover, the authorities allegedly had humiliated the students and drove them out of school premises.
