Protest Erupted Over Muslim Trader Supplying Bananas To Temple: Mangaluru

Another Hindu-Muslim controversy erupted in the Kudupu district, Mangaluru, Karnataka. Notably, the right-wing people called for a protest against a Muslim trader, who has been given a contract to supply bananas to the Ananthapadmanabha temple in Kudupu. The contract was given to the lowest bidder, till June 30, 22. Moreover, taking the note of the situation, the temple authority assured to resolve the issue after June 30.

80-Year-Old Mangaluru Beggar Donates Rs 1 Lakh To Temple

An 80-year-old woman named Ashwathamma donated a whopping amount of Rs 1 lakh to a temple in Mangaluru, Karnataka. On April 28, she donated her earned money through begging to the Kshetra Rajarajeshwari Temple. Furthermore, the woman is earning from begging for 18 years, after his husband's death. In addition, in the past also Ashwathamma donated up to Rs 6 lakhs to various temples and orphanages in Karnataka.

Fire Dept Rescues Deer Trapped In Deep Well: Mangalore

In Kinnya area of Karnataka's Mangaluru, Pandeshwar Fire station rescued a deer which was trapped in a deep well. Pandeshwar station then stated that the deer was then handed over to the forest department. Following the rescue, the deer is being treated at a veterinary hospital for the injuries it sustained on the leg and backbone. Further details on the matter are awaited.

Railway Protection Force Detains Man With Cash, Jewellery In Mangaluru

A man travelling on the Mumbai LTT-Ernakulam Duronto express with Rs 1.48 crore in cash, and 800 gm of gold ornaments have been detained by Railway Protection Force in Mangaluru, as he had no valid records available. Identified as Mahendra Singh Rao (33), of Udaipur Rajasthan, the man was handed over to railway police. He was arrested under the provisions of CPC and the Karnataka Police Act.

20 Workers Hospitalized After Ammonia Leakage Incident In Mangaluru

At least 20 people hospitalized after ammonia leakage reported at a factory in Baikampadi Industrial area, Mangaluru.  The police said, a total of 80 employees work at the Everest sea food private limited food processing company. During the leakage, 20 were affected and are undergoing treatment at a medical college hospital. Incident occurred under Panambur police station, which registered a case.

Fisherman Hung Upside Down & Beaten Up In Karnataka's Mangaluru; Video Goes Viral

In a horrific incident, a fisherman was hung upside down in a fishing boat and beaten up by fellow fishermen in Karnataka's Mangaluru. After the video went viral, an FIR has been filed under multiple sections of IPC against the aggressors, said Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashikumar. The victim has been identified as Vaila Sheenu and he was beaten up for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
