Apple iPhone 13 To Be Made In India Now; Check More Details Here

Apple is planning to start the production of iPhone 13 in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. In addition, Apple's parent company Foxconn is currently making iPhone 12 in Sriperumbudur. The Sriperumbudur plant was closed in December 2021 after 250 workers fell ill with food poisoning. After which, the company had implemented necessary safety measures and fixed loopholes to re-open it in 2022.

Ford Motors To Soon Shut Down Its Indian Manufacturing Units

American Multinational Manufacturer Ford Motor Company will soon be shutting down its Indian Manufacturing plants and all operations in India. Reportedly, the announcement comes on September 9 as the company had to bear a heavy loss of almost $2 billion. "We are taking difficult, but necessary actions to deliver a sustainable Profitable Business," said Jim Farley, Ford Motors CEO.

Hero Motocorp Manufacturing Units To Remain Shut Till May 16

India’s leading two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp has announced the extension of its manufacturing shutdown till May 16. Hero in its statement said the decision has been taken "in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation across the country." The company aims at scaling up the production when the condition betters in the nation. Maruti Suzuki Prepones Maintenance Shutdown To Save Oxygen

Maruti Suzuki on April 28 announced that it has preponed the maintenance shutdown to May from June to make medical oxygen available for the patients in need. The company's manufacturing units in Haryana and Gujarat will remain shut from May 1 to 9. Maruti said that although the company uses a small amount of oxygen, they "believe that all available oxygen should be used to save lives."

Wistron Accuses Employees Of Damaging Property Worth Rs 437 Cr

Wistron India has filed a case on December 14 against their employees for destructing the iPhone manufacturing plant in Karnataka's Kolar district. The firm claimed a loss of Rs 437.70 crore including gadgets that were either damaged or stolen. Moreover, the factory's infrastructure as well as a few parked cars were also vandalised. Reportedly, Kolar Police have arrested 160 violators based on CCTV footage and workers' shift list.
