9 Maoists Responsible For Attack On Former BJP MLA Arrested: Jharkhand
The Jharkhand police arrested nine Maoists, who were allegedly involved in the attack on former Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Gurucharan Nayak. The Maoists are arrested with arms and ammunition from West Singhbhum district, reported a senior police officer. Notably, Nayak had escaped a Maoist attack on January 4, 2022, but, the Naxals slit the throats of two policemen in Jheelruwa village and escaped with their AK-47 rifles.

6 Maoists Killed In Joint Operation By Telangana, Chhattisgarh Police
Acting on a tip-off, Telangana and Chhattisgarh police killed six Maoists in an encounter at the South Bastar area under Sukma District, on December 27. The area falls on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border area. It was a joint operation of both state police and took place between 6:30 am and 7:00 am, according to the Bhadradri Kothaguen district police. Reportedly, six bodies and weapons have been recovered.

Top Moist Milind Teltumbde Among 26 Rebels Killed: Maharashtra
Maharashtra police authorities on November 14 confirmed top fugitive Maoist Milind Baburao Teltumbde among 26 others killed in an encounter in Gadchiroli district on November 13. Hailing from Rajur village Milind carried a bounty of Rs 50 lakh on his head. He's reported to have been instrumental in the growth of the outlawed movement in Maharashtra. Reportedly, six women maoist were also killed in a gunfight near the Chattisgarh border.

Eleven Maoists Surrendered From Sukma District
About 11 Maoists from the Sukma district surrendered to the police troops, on September 29, after 24 Maoists surrendered from the same district on September 27. As per government reports, the 11 Maoists were working as lower-level cadres and had warrants out for their arrest. As part of the government's surrender and rehabilitation program, police stated the Maoists will be given immediate aid and will be offered amenities.

Naxal Maoist Ramesh Ganju Arrested In Jharkhand
Security Forces and Jharkhand Police during a joint operation on the evening of August 19 captured one of the most notorious and wanted Naxal Maoist Ramesh Ganju. Ganju is responsible for killing at least 30 police officers in the last 30 years. Nearly 45 cases have been registered in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand in the past years with a reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head.

6 Among 16 Naxal-Affected Districts In Bihar Are Thanatophobia Free
The continued efforts of the government to counter the Naxalisit in Bihar have resulted in good news. In the latest development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has declared six out of 16 Naxal-affected districts in Bihar as Naxal-free. Chhattisgarh Security Forces Kill Maoist Having Rs 5 Lakh Bounty On Him
The Chhattisgarh Police's District Reserve Guard wing on April 20 killed a Naxal in an encounter in Dantewada. A 9-mm pistol, three kg IED, backpacks and a muzzle-loading gun have also been recovered from the encounter site. Identified as Kosa, the Maoist "military intelligence in charge" had a Rs 5 lakh bounty on him. Reportedly, he was the mastermind behind at least 15 Naxal attacks.

The attack on CRPF was not an intelligence failure: CRPF Director-General
