CRPF Jawans Become 'Brothers' In Martyred Soldier's Sister's Wedding: UP

The wedding of Joyti, a sister of martyred CRPF soldier Shailendra Pratap Singh, became special when CRPF jawans came to perform all the rituals on behalf of her late brother in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli. The jawans reportedly presented gifts and carried the veil above her. ''My son is no longer in this world but now we've so many sons in the form of CRPF soldiers,'' said Singh's father.

Terrorist Kills Security Jawan In An Encounter At J&K's Pulwama

In an encounter with terrorists, an army jawan was killed in the Rajpora area of J&K's Pulwama district during a search operation launched by the Security Force. According to the police, the security personnel had information about the terrorist's presence in the Hanji village. However, the officials believe that 3-4 terrorists were trapped while the jawan succumbed to injuries at Srinagar's hospital.

PDP Leader's Personal Security Officer Dies As Terrorists Open Fire

Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Pervez Ahmed's residence had been attacked by unknown terrorists on December 14. Pervez's personal security officer Manzoor Ahmad had succumbed to injuries while he was near the gate of the residence. The Kashmir police had informed that the investigation is underway while the Natipora area has been cordoned off. However, the PDP leader escaped from the attacks and is safe.

J&K: Pakistan Violates Ceasefire; 1 Soldier Killed, 3 Injured

Pakistani troops on November 21 violated ceasefire yet again in various sectors along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. To this, the Indian Army gave a befitting reply. However, the ceasefire violation has left one constable dead and three others injured who were admitted to a military hospital for treatment. The constable was positioned at a frontier post in Lam area of Rajouri district.

J&K: Police Inspector Dies After Terrorist Opens Fire At Him

A police inspector, identified as Mohammad Ashraf, lost his life after a terrorist opened fire at him in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police officer was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries en route. Reportedly, the crime took place when Ashraf was returning from mosque after offering prayers. Meanwhile, the police have sealed the area.

Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorist Attack Kills Two, Injures Three CRPF Jawans

Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and three suffered injuries after terrorists opened fire in the afternoon of October 5, in Pulwama district. Reportedly, the CRPF soldiers along with policemen were in a road opening party (ROP) duty at the Kandijhal Bridge. The CRPF officials have mentioned, "The area was immediately cordoned off and a search operation was launched to nab the terrorists."

J&K: Two Indian Soldiers Killed After Pakistan Violates Ceasefire

Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire on October 1 in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Reportedly, two Indian soldiers lost their lives while four others got injured. Defence spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia informed that the Indian Army gave a "befitting response" to the Pakistani firing. Earlier, on September 30, one soldier had died in the Poonch district due to another ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
