Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its new, Jimny model, as it is conducting trials of the new vehicle. The Jimmy is expected to launch in India on June 7, and the off-roader will take on the likes of the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurha. This new model has four parking sensors and reverse cameras. The Jimny uses a ladder-frame chassis with a 1.5L engine.

Maruti Suzuki will collaborate with Toyota to build six small electric cars, said the Japanese automobile company. The shift in focus was aimed at the ambition of Maruti to build small electric cars for the Indian market. Sources revealed that Suzuki will borrow EV technology from Toyota Motors for building its electric car, which will be launched this decade. Notably, Toyota has a 5% stake in Maruti Suzuki company.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV will be introduced in India on July 20. This is another product developed in conjunction with Suzuki and Toyota. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and others. The new SUV will go into production in August, and it will most likely be released over the holiday season.
