Maruti Suzuki India intends to have robust hybrid technology across its model range in the next 5-7 years, as part of a drive to have environment-friendly technological aspects in each of its vehicles, enabling higher fuel efficiency and a lower carbon footprint. The company's future mid-size SUV will have a powerful hybrid powertrain. Hybrid automobiles combine the benefits of fuel engines and electric motors.

New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Becomes Second-Highest Selling Car In India

The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has become the second-highest selling car in India. It is only second to Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Ertiga's sales hit an all-time high of 14,889 units in April, 22. This also marks the first time that an MPV has got a rank in the Top 3 spot. The 2022 Ertiga prices range from Rs 8.35 lakhs to 12.79 lakhs.

Maruti Eeco: Price Hikes By Rs 8,000, Safety Features Increased

Upgraded with additional safety airbags for front passenger, Maruti Eeco prices have hiked by Rs 8,000. With the safety upgrade, Maruti Eeco will now comply with the safety guidelines (frontal offset crash regulations) of Indian Government. Notably, Indian Government calls for dual airbags in cars, from January 2022. Besides dual airbags, no other changes have been made in Maruti Eeco, which is available for Rs 4.33 to 5.68 lakh.

Maruti's S-Presso Becomes a Best Seller, Crosses 10K Mark In October

October 2020 witnessed the success of Maruti Suzuki's entry-level micro SUV S-Presso. The car gave a tough competition to Renault's Kwid and Datsun's Redi-Go and succeeded in cracking the 10,000 mark in October. By selling 10,612 units it gas became one of the best-selling cars in its segment. Built on Maruti's Heartect-K lightweight platform the car has a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine emitting 67 PS of maximum power and 90 Nm of torque.
