6 Members Of Family Found Dead At Residence In Jammu’s Sidhra
In Jammu’s Sidhra area, six members of a family were found dead at their home on August 17. The bodies were shifted to a government medical college and hospital. A probe is underway, and the details related to the death are yet to be ascertained. Earlier on August 17, a Kashmiri pandit was shot dead, following which, security personnel were deployed in the area.

Kindergarten Attack Leaves 6 Dead & 3 Injured In Jiangxi: China
In China's southern province of Jiangxi, six persons were killed, and three were injured in an attack a kindergarten, on August 3. Reportedly, the suspect was 48-years-old, and was identified by his surname Liu. Besides this, no further details on the attack was given in the brief statement. Notably, at least 100 children and adults were killed in China, in the past decade, in similar attacks.

Nine Shot Dead In Indonesia's Relative Papua Amid Massive Protests
The police of Indonesia reported that nine persons were shot dead in the country's easternmost region of Papua. According to the police, the attack was allegedly carried out by armed separatists, and is the worst in recent times. The attack has come amid the ongoing protests against a new law that seeks to add three new provinces to the country including South Papua, Central Papua and Highland Papua.

Japan: 'Twitter Killer' Confesses Killing, Dismembering Victims
Japan's 'Twitter Killer', Takahiro Shiraishi, confessed in the court that he killed nine people with who came in contact to him through Twitter. He admitted dismembering the victims and storing their body-parts in coolers and toolboxes. Shiraishi's lawyer argued for reduction in charges saying that the victims were having suicidal thoughts and gave their "consent" to be killed.
