51 Dead, 100 Suffers Dengue Viral-Fever In Uttar Pradesh

UP's Firozabad & Mathura district witnesses over 100 fresh cases of viral fever 'dengue' among children. About 51 people have died so far from dengue, a mosquito-borne viral disease. Nodal Officer Sudhir Kumar Bobde issued Do's & Don'ts to curb the disease spread, people are advised not to store excessive water in their surroundings. Worryingly, the disease is spreading to the eastern part of UP too.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Bans Meat & Liquor Trade In Mathura

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on the occasion of Janmashtami Krishnotsava 2021 instructed to ban meat and liquor in Mathura. He further said that people involved in such trades should start selling up milk to bring back the glory of Mathura. CM also prayed to Lord Krishna to end coronavirus. He added, "Every effort will be made to develop Brij Bhumi and there will no dearth of funds for this."

UP Reports Cases of Scrub Typhus Disease; Over 2 Dozen Infected

Scrub Typhus, a new bacterial disease caused by 'Orientia Tsutsugamushi' has been reported in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. However, the infection has been spread to over two dozen people and it spread only after being bitten by infected chiggers (berry bugs). Fever, headache, body aches, rashes, and muscle pain are some of the common symptoms. Moreover, there are no vaccines available to cure this disease.

Mathura Brick Kiln Industry Seeks UP Govt Help After Tauktae Effect

Brick kiln owners in Mathura have requested a waiver of royalty and GST from the UP government to survive the heavy losses faced due to cyclone Tauktae. Reportedly, each of the 250 kiln owners suffered a loss of Rs 8-12 lakhs with cascading effect on 50,000 workers due to early closure of the industry which goes on till mid-June. The District Brick Kiln Association also requested for free rations.

SC Allows Felling Of 4,108 Trees For New Mathura-Jhansi Railway Track

The Supreme Court on January 29 permitted Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd to axe 4,108 trees in the Taj Trapezium Zone to build a new Mathura-Jhansi railway track. Uttar Pradesh: FIR Against Four In Mathura For Offering Namaz in Temple

On the grounds of hurting religious faith, an FIR has been filed against four men in Mathura after two men offered namaz in Nandmahal temple while the other two recorded it. The incident took place on October 31 in the Barsana district of Mathura. The two men who offered namaz has been identified as Faisal Khan and Mohammed Chand who went inside the temple by forging their identity.

UP: Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura Reopened for Devotees 

After adhering to COVID-19 precautionary protocols, Mathura's Banke Bihari temple re-opened on October 25 for the devotees. Police have been deployed in the temple to ensure the devotees adhering to the regulations. The temple which was shut on March 22 due to the pandemic, was reopened on October 15 assenting the court's order. However, the temple manager shut it again on October 19 as were unable to control the crowd.
