Tamil Nadu Has The Highest Medical Colleges In India; Totals To 69

Tamil Nadu will have the highest medical colleges in India. With 17 new government, private, and deemed universities, the State will have 69 medical colleges, offering 10,375 MBBS seats. Of total, 37 are government colleges, offering 5,125 seats in 2021. "We'll be able to add 1,450 MBBS seats this year," said Dr. R Narayanababu, the Medical Education Director. Furthermore, currently 12 % of India's medical seats are from TN.
