Kerala Journalist Siddique Kappan expressed happiness as he is finally out of jail after being arrested for over 28 months. On February 1, after two sureties of Rs 1 lakh, the special PMLA Court granted bail to Kappan.  He walked out of the Lucknow District Jail on the morning of February 2. "I want to thank the media for supporting me," said Siddique, who was arrested in 2020.

One of the judges of "Shehzade Hunar Ke"  Sudhaa Chandran, a dancer and actor, shared her thoughts on current reality shows. During an interview with the media, Sudhaa said, "In our time, there were no reality shows, but we were trained in dance. But today, when kids get trained, they are put into a competitive mould as they are made to watch reality shows. I think this is not necessary."

Expressing concern over the recent communal clashes in Indian cities, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said the religious sentiments of the people should be respected. In the latest development, the health department of the Kerala government barred medical officers and health workers from speaking to media without prior permission on December 5. ''In case of an emergency where it's necessary to provide the information they need to verify the facts and get prior sanction from the department,'' said the order. Reportedly, it will reduce misinformation to public about the spread of Covid-19.
