Two Arrested For Stealing Newborn Baby In Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut
Two persons in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, have been arrested for allegedly stealing a newborn from the Meerut Medical College. This has come after a complaint was filed by the baby’s father. The complainant stated that a day after his wife gave birth in the hospital, his baby went missing. Police recovered the baby from the wife of a priest, at around 3 am. The baby has been returned safely.

Meerut Woman Murdered By Unidentified, Police Launches Investigation
In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, a woman was shot dead at her rented accommodation on June 21. The police confirmed the victim to be Saima (35), a resident of Shyamnagar locality in the Lisadigate area. The accused is yet to be identified and the body has been sent for an autopsy. Furthermore, the Additional Superintendent of Police Vineet Bhatnagar said, Saima was divorced and stayed with her 7-year-old daughter.

Police Sub-Inspector Arrested After Being Caught Red-Handed While Taking Bribe In UP
In Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar, sub-inspector Yogendra Singh Yadav, has been arrested in charges of corruption, after being caught red-handed. Reportedly, Yadav took a bribe of Rs 30,000 from an accused in a case of assault and breach of peace. The arrest was carried out after a trap was laid by the Anti-corruption Department (Meerut Zone). "Strict departmental action will be taken against him (Yadav)," said a police spokesperson.

Damaged Ambedkar Statues Leave Locals Angry In Meerut: Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, two statues of Bhimrao Ambedkar were found damaged, on May 25. The incident which occurred in the Hastinapur area, has left the locals and the people of Dalit community angry. According to Station House Officer (SHO) Kunwarpal Singh, the statues appear to have been damaged accidentally. Furthermore, the officials pacified the angry locals and assured to investigate the matter.

Langoor Cut Out To Solve Money Problem In Meerut: Forest Department
Amid the complaints of an increasing number of monkeys, troubling the people of Meerut, the Forest Department announced to experiment, langoor cut out to scare monkeys. Divisional Officer Rajesh Kumar said, "We have achieved some good results. We will make some changes so that we can prepare to use cut-outs in public places". Notably, a similar trick to scare monkeys away has been used at Lucknow metro station, providing relief.

Fire Breaks Out In Saharanpur-Delhi Train Near Meerut: Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, a fire broke out in the passenger train's engine and in two compartments at Daurala railway station on March 5. "Cause of the fire is not ascertained. No injuries or casualties have been reported," said the Indian Railways Traffic Inspector, YK Jha. Notably, the train was going from Saharanpur to Delhi. 2 Arrested For Alleged Firing At AIMIM President's Vehicle: Meerut
Uttar Pradesh police arrested two people for allegedly shooting at AIMIM President Convoy in Meerut, UP. On February 3, Asadauddin Owaisi was returning to Delhi after addressing a rally in Meerut, when some people gun shot at his vehicle. Deepak Bukher, the Superintendent of Police of Meerut registered the case and confirmed the arrest of two people. He further said, an investigation is underway.
