PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone Of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University: Uttar Pradesh

PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on January 2. The university with an estimated Rs 700 crore will have modern facilities and infrastructure for 1080 sports person's training, both male and female. Establishment of the university will fulfill the vision of enhancing sports in India. Ahead of the launch, PM Modi visited Augurnath temple and Shahid Mark.

Meerut Reports 33 Fresh Dengue Cases: Uttar Pradesh

Chief Medical Officer Akhilesh Mohan informed about the increasing dengue cases in the state on September 28. Meerut has reported 158 active dengue cases, 70 patients are hospitalized, 88 patients are undergoing treatment at home, and 249 patients have recovered till now. Health Department is conducting a door-to-door survey to aware people and cooperate with the measures taken by the government.

Man Dies After Chinese String Slits His Throat In UP's Meerut

In a terrifying incident in UP's Meerut, a 24-year-old youth Ajay died after his throat was slit by the Chinese string on September 23. Reportedly, Ajay was a resident of Rasulpur village and had a pharmaceutical business. While returning his village from Meerut on a motorbike the sting cut his throat, resulting in severe blood loss. However, locals rushed him to a hospital but he succumbed to his injures.

Meerut Reports 26 Fresh Dengue Cases With 115 Active Cases: UP

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Akhilesh Mohan on September 22 informed that Meerut reported 26 new cases of dengue. There are 115 active cases in the state and about 116 people have recovered from dengue as of now. Around 62 patients are undergoing "home treatment," while 63 are admitted. Moreover, the CMO stated that Health Department is working to curb the outbreak and medicines have also been sprayed.

18 Cured Of Dengue In UP's Meerut; CMO Launches Medical Campaign

As many as 30 dengue cases have been reported in the UP's Meerut on September 8. According to Akhilesh Mohan, the district Chief Medical Officer (CMO), around 18 individuals have been lately been cured of dengue. "Our community health centres are equipped with doctors are required medications. Still, if the condition of the patient is serious, they will be referred to district hospital," CMO said.

Uttar Pradesh: BJP Leader Performs Hawan In Meerut To Stop COVID-19

In a bizarre incident, BJP leader Gopal Sharma from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district roamed across the city, performing hawan and reciting Hanuman Chalisa "to help people recover from COVID-19".
