The Parliament of Iraq has decided to conduct a session on February 7 to elect the new President of the country. In a meeting between Parliamentary speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi and his two deputies, it was decided that a session to continue constitutional process towards forming a new government, will be held. It was also decided to announce the names of the eligible candidates who can run for the presidential post.

The 16th East Asia Summit and 18th ASEAN-India Summit will virtually be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 27 and October 28, respectively. Reportedly, the East Asia summit involving 9 countries will give a boost to India's strategic and geopolitical evolution.
