Bishnoi clan in Rajasthan's Jodhpur is building a massive memorial to honor the blackbuck slain by Salman Khan 24 years ago. The residents of this hamlet see deer as their identity and believe that deer are important for survival. A massive 3-foot-tall black deer statue weighing 800 kg will be placed at the site, along with an animal rescue center, in the same location where the deer was discovered dead. 

The refurbished battle memorial in Rezang La, located in the inaccessible hills of eastern Ladakh, where Indian troops bravely engaged Chinese soldiers in 1962, was inaugurated on November 18, by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Singh was also seen accompanying a veteran of the 1962 conflict, Brigadier (Retd) R.V Jatar, by pushing the Brigadier's wheelchair towards the iconic place. An amount of Rs 1 crore has been released by the Karnataka government for constructing a 'memorial park' of the former CM Sarekoppa Bangarappa at Shivamogga district. On the 87th birthday of Bangarappa, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa inaugurated the park constructed in the town as a tribute. Yediyurappa stated that Bangarappa is still remembered for his extensive efforts to develop the education, health and agriculture sectors.
