Looming Mental Health Crisis Forces Degree Student To Abandon Home: Hyderabad

A degree student abandoned her house after being scolded by her father in Papireddy Colony in Chandanagar on Sept 9. The 18-year-old, who suffered depression, chose to leave her home by leaving a note behind. She asked her parents not to search for her, as she wanted to live life by herself. The investigation is still on the missing case.

UK HC Permits Nirav Modi To Appeal Against Extradition To India

Fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi's appeal against his extradition to India has been granted by the UK High Court on mental health and human rights grounds. His lawyer pleaded to the UK high court that his extradition could cause serious health problems concerning "severe depression" and "suicide". Modi defrauded the Indian government for over $2 billion and has been held at Wandsworth Prison in London since 2019.

A new study presented by the European Academy of Neurology discovered cognitive and behavioural issues, roughly eight weeks after the discharge of COVID patients.
