CM Yogi Kicks Off Kanpur Metro's Trial Run; Likely To Launch By Dec
The trial run of the Kanpur Metro has been started by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on November 10. ''Within the next four to six weeks, we'll be able to complete the trial and get it launched by PM Narendra Modi,'' said CM Yogi. The commercial operation of the metro is expected to start between December 15-20. In the first phase, the metro will ply between IIT Kanpur and Motijheel.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Hike; Mumbai Tops The Chart
The prices for petrol and diesel has again been increased in India on October 14. In Delhi, petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 0.35 to Rs 105.14 per litre and Rs 93.87 per litre, respectively. While in Mumbai, one litre Petrol and diesel costs Rs 111.09 and Rs 101.78 per litre. Besides, One litre petrol costs Rs 105.76 and diesel Rs 98.26 per litre in Kolkata.

Metro, Buses To Operate At Full Capacity: Delhi Covid-19 Relaxation
The Disaster Management Authority of Delhi has decided to operate Metro and DTC buses at their full capacity from July 26. However, new passengers will be barred from boarding if all the seats are occupied. Besides, cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes can be run at 50% capacity. Moreover, the number of guests for weddings and funerals has been increased to 100. Notably, schools and colleges are not allowed to open.

23 Dead, 70 Injured In An Elevated Metro Line Collapse In Mexico City
An elevated metro line collapse in Mexico’s capital city killed 23 people while injuring 70 others. The CCTV footages revealed that carriages of a passing train plunged down forming V shape. The Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum informed that rescue work has been launched and victims are rushed to different hospitals. Reportedly, the Mexico City with 12 connecting metro lines carries millions of passengers daily.
