Chhattisgarh Generates 16.07 Cr Jobs Under MGNREGA; Highest In India

Recently released data has revealed that Chattisgarh created over 16.07 crore jobs under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in 2020-21. Jharkhand Daily Wage Worker Accused Of Rs 3.5 Cr GST Evasion

In a shocking incident, Jharkhand Police had detained a daily wager, who earns Rs 198 a day, under a multi-crore GST scam. Ladun Murmu, who works under the MGNREGA, was accused of a GST evasion of Rs 3.5 crore. While police reached to arrest Ladun, they found the latter's ID cards have been misused by perpetrators to set up a fake company. Soon, Ladun has been released from custody.
