Punjab CM Gets Z+ Security After MHA Approval
The BJP-led Central Government approved and provided Z+ security to the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. As per sources, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was given the security amid crack down on pro-khalistani in Punjab and threat of life to the Punjab CM. " The Union Ministry of Home Affairs cleared the proposal after intelligence input into the matter. Notably, the security will be provided to Mann, across India.

NIA Seeks To Take Over Kerala Arson Incident Case, Suspects Terror Angle
The National Investigative Agency (NIA) demanded to take over the Kerala Arson train incident, where a man identified as Shahrukh Saifi burnt co-passengers. The NIA said there could be a terrorist angle into the matter, therefore they sought to take over the matter from the Kerala Police. In regard to this, the NIA wrote to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA,) as they will take the final decision.

MHA Issues Guidelines For Hanuman Jayanti Amid Ram Navami Violence
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued a statement and guidelines ahead of Hanuman Jayanti, on April 6. After the recent Ram Navami violence in 12 states, especially in West Bengal, the MHA issued an alert to the state governments to make the necessary arrangements, ensuring peace in the states. The notice read, "No Hanuman Jayanti in areas where Section 144 is impose."

MHA Gave Sanction To Prosecute Manish Sisodia In Snooping Case
In a major setback for Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs gave sanction to prosecute Sisodia in an alleged 'feedback unit (FBU) snooping case. On February 22, the BJP-led Union Government issued a notice, saying Manish Sisodia will be prosecuted under the Prevention of Corruption Act. It is to be noted, the AAP member Sisodia is alleged of snooping in FBU, set in 2015.

K Vijay Kumar Resigns As Security Advisor Of MHA
Decorated police officer K Vijay Kumar, credited for eliminating forest brigand Veerappan, has resigned as the senior security advisor in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). On October 15, Kumar resigned from post, due to personal reasons, has vacated his accommodation in Delhi and relocated to Chennai. "I am now based in Chennai after I decided to end my stint with the MHA due to personal reasons," said Kumar.

CBI Registers Case Against Former NSE Chief, Mumbai Commissioner In Illegal Phone Tapping Charges
As per the directors of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against former National Stock Exchange (NSE) chief Chitra Ramkrishna and ex-Mumbai police commissioner Sanjay Pandey. The case was registered on July 8, for the alleged tapping of phones of NSE employees between 2009 and 2017, under the illegal Phone Tapping Act. In this regard, the CBI conducted multiple raids in Maharashtra.

MHA Writes To Recommend Names For President's Police Medal Award
Ministry of Home Affairs wrote a letter to all the Sates, UTs, CAPFs, Central agencies to recommend names for the President's Police Medal award for Distinguished service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day. The letter mentioned all the recommendations needed to submit by May 15. Similar letter sent to DIB, CBI, SPG, NEPA. Secretary of R&AW and Cabinet Secretary asked to send selected names.
