ANLA's 13 Militants Surrender Before Assam Police

In Assam's Karbi Anglong district, 13 militants of All Adivasi National Liberation Army surrendered before the security forces on May 8. As per sources, the surrendered militants also deposited a cache of arms and ammunition, and rifles, in presence of the Assam Police, CRPF and Assam Rifles in Bokajan police station. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state continued its peace march with the surrender of the militants.

4 Terrorist Including LeT Militant Killed In Jammu & Kashmir Encounter

A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist named Yousoof Kantroo and four militants were killed in an encounter in the Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir.  The encounter broke out on April 21 after an intelligence input of terrorists' presence in the Malwah region, said police on April 22. Furthermore, an official also received minor injuries during the encounter. In addition, the police also recovered ammunition and cordoned off the area.

Encounter In Jammu & Kashmir's Kulgam Region Is Underway: Security Officials

In Jammu & Kashmir's Kulgam region, an encounter broke out between the security forces and militants, on April 11. Based on the intelligence input of terrorists presence in the area, the officials cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, following which the militants opened fire. Unidentified Militant Killed By Security Forces In Srinagar: J&K

In the Darbagh Dhara area of Srinagar's Harwan, an unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in the early hours of December 19. The police also confirmed that an encounter broke out and an unidentified militant was killed. Furthermore, searches in the area have also been launched. Another Cop Of Zewan Srinagar Attack Succumbs To Injuries: J&K

The Zewan Srinagar attack death toll increased to three on December 14 after the injured policeman of the attack succumbed to his injuries. Besides, an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and Selection Grade Constable also died when militants, claimed to be Kashmiri Tigers (an offshoot of Jaish-e-Mohammed), ambushed a police bus in Zewan on December 13. A total of 15 personnel got injured, of which 11 are undergoing treatment.

2 Policemen Die In Firing Of Militants In J&K's Bandipora District

In Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district, two policemen died after militants fired on them, said officials on December 10. The firing took place at the Gulshan Chowk in the same evening. Reportedly, the injured policemen were rushed to a hospital but they succumbed to their injuries. The area has been cordoned off and a searches operation has also been launched, added the official.
