Milk, Meat And Chicken Prices Goes Up In Pakistan Amid Crisis
At a time when Pakistan is suffering a major economic crisis, the prices of milk, meat and chicken along with other utilities increased, in effect from February 14. According to sources, milk is now at PKR 210/liter, whereas meat and chicken is available at PKR 1,110/kg and PKR 780/kg, respectively. The IMF postponed the disbursement of a vital USD 1.1 billion tranche of a deal, causing trouble to Pakistan.

Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producer Federation Limited proposed to raise milk price by Rs 2 per litre on August 19. The cooperative distributes its goods under the brand name "Milkfed Verka," and the new price is effective immediately. The Punjab cooperative's decision was consistent with those of other dairy firms. Milk prices were raised by Amul and Mother Dairy two days ago.

Mother Dairy Increases Milk Price By Rs 2 Per Litre
Mother Dairy has hiked the prices of all its milk variants by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR and other cities, effective from July 11. The company has increased the prices after an interval of 1.5 years as ''it has been experiencing inflationary pressure on overall input costs''. Besides, the company's consumer milk prices will also increase in East and Central UP, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Nagpur.

Lactating Mothers Come To Rescue Baby Separated From COVID+ Mom
When Pragathi Badarinath tested positive for COVID-19, a group of lactating mothers in Bengaluru came to her rescue by donating their breast milk to her eight-month-old son. The free service continued for at least 9 days till Pragathi was discharged from the hospital. Founder of mothers' support group Snugbub, Prachi Pendurkar, said, "We decided on a centralised collection at one woman's house close to Ms Badrinath's house."

Amul is planning to invest Rs. 2,500 Crore in Uttar Pradesh for the next 10 years.
