Karnataka: Reliance To Buy 1,000 Quintal Rice At Rs 82 Above MSP
Agents registered with Reliance Retail Ltd have agreed with Karnataka’s Sindhanur farmers to purchase 1,000 quintals of Sona Masoori paddy. The agreement states Reliance will be paying Rs 82 more than the minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 1,868. The produce will be procured by Swasthya Farmers Producing Company which has around 1,100 farmers registered with it. 21% More Farmers in Odisha Register to Sell Kharif Paddy at MSP
A 21 percent rise has been observed in farmer registrations for selling Kharif paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 2020-21, by various primary agriculture cooperative societies in Odisha. All the 30 districts in the state have witnessed an increase in registrations by around 2 lakhs, as compared to 2019-20, the State Food & Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department stated. Registrations are being conducted online this year.
