Karnataka Cabinet Expansion: 24 Ministers To Take Oath On May 27

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar held a meeting with the senior leaders of the Congress and finalized cabinet expansion. Four leaders, Randeep Singh Surjewala, KC Venugopal, DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaih, finalized 24 MLAs, selected as ministers, who will take the oath on May 27. The finalized names is not yet disclosed and has been sent to INC President Mallikarjun Kharge for a final decision.

Ashok Gehlot Holds Informal Meeting With Ministers, MLAs Amid Rajasthan 'Political Crisis'

To control the situation in Rajasthan amid the political crisis, the State CM Ashok Gehlot held an informal meeting with a few MLAs and ministers. The meeting was held on September 27, at the CM residence and was attended by ministers Sukhram Bishnoi, Rajender Yadav, Saleh Mohammad, Madan Prajapat, Amin Kagzi and others. Meanwhile, the Congress unit in Rajasthan under Ajay Maken, issued indiscipline notice to three Gehlot loyalists.

Bhagwant Mann To Expand His Cabinet By Recruiting 5-6 New Ministers

Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is preparing to restructure its first cabinet. The cabinet development follows bypoll outcomes and the criminal prosecution of one of the Bhagwant Mann ministry's main ministers. The new ministers' names have not been announced. 5 to 6 new ministers, including a female MLA, are expected to take the oath of office on July 4. Bhagwant Mann's cabinet currently has only 9 ministers.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Conducts First Cabinet Meeting

Newly appointed Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann, on March 19, conducted his first Cabinet meet. In addition, Mann gave a nod to filling up of 25,000 vacant posts in various state departments. He said, ''10,000 jobs will be given in the Punjab Police and the rest in various other departments, boards, and corporations. Also, there will be no discrimination, no recommendation and no bribe".
