India's Covid-19 cases are rising constantly with over 3,000 single-day cases. On May 10, the MoHFW registered 3,207  new cases with 29 deaths and 3,410 recoveries from the deadly virus. Coming as a relief to international passengers traveling to India, the Government allowed 14 days self monitoring. Previously, travelers needed to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine which has now been changed. India COVID-19 cases increased again, after reporting below 2.50 lakh cases. On January 26, the Union Health Ministry confirmed 2,85,914 fresh cases  and 2,99,073 recoveries. As the Taliban takes over Afghanistan, many countries including the US, Canada, India, and others are making efforts to evacuate people from the war-torn nation. In the wake of this, to help the Afghan refugees, the Union Home Ministry on August 17 announced a new category of visa, 'e-Emergency X-Misc Visa' that will help fast-track the process for their entry into India. Moreover, the Hindu and Sikh communities will be prioritised.
