Union government has started a pan-country survey to evaluate the quality and quantity of water supplied through the six crore tap water connections under the Nal Se Jal scheme. For this, the Drinking Water Department has tied with Nielsen India to survey in 7,000 villages across states. Moreover, nearly 2.55 crore connections came up after the scheme was launched in August 2019. Nielsen will complete the research by March 2021.
