In Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur, three men drowned in Chuna Dhari waterfall, while on a picnic, on July 10. Following the incident, the District Magistrate immediately close sthe waterfall for tourists. Reportedly, they slipped while taking a bath in the waterfall, and drowned. Reportedly, after four hours of struggle, their bodies were retrieved by local divers. The deceased did not know how to swim, reported PTI.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the makers of web-series Mirzapur while hearing a plea which accused the show of presenting objectionable storyline. Following the uproar against web series 'Tandav', the producers of Amazon Prime's popular show 'Mirzapur' have been booked under defamation charges. Overworked Pankaj Tripathi, in a talk with a tabloid, asserted of not playing any gangster role for the upcoming one year. Pankaj said the decision was taken because the audience gets unclear regarding what to remember and what not by his frequent screenplays. However, he informed that he would be seen in other roles like a lawyer, cricket team manager and others. Moreover, he is in no hurry to resume work until 2021.

Popular character of Munna Tripathi from Mirzapur web-series is likely to return in next season also. Earlier, the makers of the web-series have planned to drop the character, played by Divyenndu Sharma, from the next installment. However, taking a separate fan base of Munna's character into consideration, makers are planning to bring him in next season also. One of the lead actor from the series said, "I think Divyenndu would be back."
