BJP's Chandrashekhar Bawankule Wins Nagpur MLC Seat: Maharashtra
The BJP MLC candidate Chandrashekhar Bawankule won the state legislative council election from Nagpur. He defeated Mangesh Deshmukh, a Congress-backed independent candidate on December 14. In the first round of votes counting, Bawankule got 362 votes while Deshmukh received 186 votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Ravindra Bhoyar got one vote. Besides, the BJP and Shiv Sena bagged one seat each in Mumbai. As many as 549 votes were declared valid.

Telangana: Cong Seeks Action Over Minister Disclosing Voting Details
Opposition Congress in Telangana has sought action against State Home Minister Mahmood Ali for disclosing the candidate’s name whom he voted for in the MLC polls. Citing disclosure of the candidate's name as a violation of the election code, the Congress demanded immediate action against the violator.
