Woodley confirmed the news on Twitter, sending a warning to Jake with his caption, "I'm taking your head clean off your neck! #GotchaSoul." Meanwhile, Jake's brother Logan Paul is set to box Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout slated for July 6.

MMA veteran and heavyweight contender Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva has announced his comeback against Quentin Domingos at the Megdan Fighting 9 in Serbia on June 13. Talking about his return, Silva said, "Surely now it is a 'Pezao' from ten years ago that will return." Notably, Silva is on a five-match losing streak since 2015 and has stayed away from MMA since his last 2017 knock-out loss.
The trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on July 10 seems in jeopardy after Poirier claimed that McGregor was backing off from the promised charity donation. Replying to McGregor's 'prediction tweet', Poirier had wrote that the former promised to donate $500,000 to his charity but never followed through. Furious over the claims, McGregor blasted his opponent saying "The fight is off btw".

Fulfilling his shot at redemption, Francis "The Predator" Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic to become the World Heavyweight Champion at UFC 260 on March 28. Interestingly, Ngannou's victory came in the second round after he landed a short-but-strong jab on Miocic's chin after unloading on him with heavy shots in round one. With owning the belt, Ngannou avenged his loss to Miocic when they first met in January 2018.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Meisha Tate, on March 24, announced her comeback as she claimed, "the fire has been lit". Reportedly, Tate will face Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night on July 17. However, the company is yet to make it official. Considered as one of the pioneers of women's participation in MMA, 32-year-old Tate retired from the sport in 2016.
