An RTI application filed by activist Anil Galgali revealed that no money has been spent in 15 years by the Centre for the development of Mumbai’s Mithi River. Uddhav Thackeray Orders MMRDA to Postpone Dr Ambedkar's Statue Ceremony
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray asked the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to postpone the foundation laying ceremony of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue at the Ambedkar Memorial. The ceremony was scheduled on September 18, but is now postponed as Amberdkar's family and prominent leaders were not invited. PM Narendra Modi had laid the foundational stone for the memorial at a 12.5-acre plot at Dadar's Indu Mill in 2015.
