'Be Prepared If Loudspeakers Not Removed,' Warns Raj Thackeray
MNS President Raj Thackeray has warned that if loudspeakers are not removed from mosques by May 3, his party workers would retaliate by playing the Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers outside mosques. Thackeray also asserted that this is a social issue, rather than a religious one. His tit-for-tat warning comes amid the ongoing controversy over the use of loudspeakers at mosques.

MNS Leader Detained For Playing 'Hanuman Chalisa' Outside Shiv Sena Office
Mumbai Police detained Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Yashwant Killedar and a taxi driver on April 10. The leader was arrested for playing 'Hanuman Chalisa' in a taxi loudspeaker outside Shiv Sena headquarters in Dadar, on the occassion of Ram Navami. The detained leader was taken to the Shivaji Park Police Station. However, as of now, no case has been registered against Yashwant Killedar.
