Mob Attack Cops For Denying Permission To Hold Hola Mohalla; 17 Nabbed

Hundreds of Sikhs, equipped with sticks and swords, on March 29 resorted to violence after they were denied permission for Hola Mohalla procession at Maharashtra's Nanded gurudwara. The chaos broke out after police attempted to disperse the huge crowd to maintain social distancing. Booking 200 culprits, the police have arrested 17 miscreants who caused the clash in which four policemen got injured as well.

Karnataka Police Makes First Arrest Under New Cattle Law

Karnataka police registered the first case under the freshly drafted Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2020 on January 13. The police said that nearly 35 cattle were being illegally transported from Ranebennur to Mangaluru via Chikkamagluru district when they were attacked by an unidentified mob.
