Alt News Co-founder Mohammad Zubair Charged For Revealing Identity Of Viral School Slap Video
UP Police registered an FIR against Alt News Cofounder and Fact Checker Mohammad Zubair. As per the registered case, on August 28, Zubair was charged for disclosing the identity of the minor who was slapped in the Muzaffarnagar school on video that went viral on social media. The FIR names Mohammad Zubair as the accused for revealing the identity of the minor in the sensitive case.

Alt News Co-Founder Mohammad Zubair Granted Bail In 2018 Tweet Case
Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair has been granted bail by a Delhi court, on July 15. Zubair was granted bail upon furnishing personal bond and surety of Rs 50,000. Zubair was arrested on June 27, over a Tweet he made in 2018, which sparked sudden controversy. The court whole granted bail, observed that "Hindi religion is one of the oldest religions and most tolerant".

Alt News Co-Founder Mohammad Zubair Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody By Hathras Court
Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody, on July 14. Zubair was arrested after two cases were registered against him on July 4. Zubair's remarks on Hindu gods and goddesses sparked a rage in 2018. He called three Hindu seers "hate mongers", due to which a case was registered in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur. Reportedly, when Zubair was produced in the court, security was tightened.
