Monetary Price

As a measure to avoid accidental deaths due to the bystander effect, the Uttarakhand government has announced monetary rewards for the helpers. Reportedly, a cash reward of up to Rs 1 Lakh will be granted from the road safety funds to those who would help road victims.  As per the police, a few are sacred to help the accident victims to avoid interrogations by the police and court hassles.
