Overnight heavy showers lash Delhi-NCR, orange alert issued for the weekend. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi and its surrounding areas for the weekend. The department says moderate to heavy showers would lash the city for the next two days. Notably, monsoon has covered the entire nation earlier, and many states and cities like Rajasthan , Kerala and Mumbai and Telangana are on alert.

Flood Situation In Odisha Continues To Stay Grim; 4.67 Lakh Affected Over 10 Districts
The flood condition in Odisha continues to stay grim. About 4.67 lakh people have been affected across 10 districts and 1,757 villages. As of August 18, over 60,000 persons have been evacuated to safe places. Meanwhile, flood water is being released via Hirakud reservoir through 40 gates. Heavy Rains Continue To Lash Over Balochistan; 10 Dead In 3 Days
The rain situation has worsened in Pakistan's Balochistan, with ten more deaths having been recorded in the past three days, on August 15. The heavy downpour has wrecked havoc to infrastructure including houses, bridges and roads. Flash floods have damaged over 200 houses in Qila Abdullah, informed Geo News. The recent rains induced by the Monsoon season has destroyed over 1000 houses in Balochistan.

Bangalore Receives 400% Extra Rain In Aug First Week
In the first week of August, Karnataka's Bangalore received 410% more rainfall than average. From August 1 to 8, Bangalore recieved 143 mm rainfall, compared to the usual 28 mm. As many as 500 animals died due to the rain, and over 8,197 people have been across various parts. Severe flooding has occurred across various low-lying parts of Karnataka.

Pakistan Denies Ration To Flood-Affected Victims Without ID Cards
Pakistan administration is accused of demanding original computerized national Identify cards, for providing ration to the flood-affected persons. Some people are complaining that the administration is demanding for the ID cards, even after they've lost all their belongings in floods. Another person said that the ID cards weren't given for everybody. "How can a family of 10 survive with one card's ration?", said a victim.
