In Kerala's Ernakulam district, a two-storey building collapsed in Keezhillam area, on July 29. Reportedly, seven members of a family where present inside the building during the collapse. Harinarayanan (13), who was asleep during the incident, died in his sleep. His grandfather Narayan Namboothri sustained injuries to his head, and has been admitted to ICU. Officials believe that the collapse was caused due to incessant rains.

In Punjab's Patiala, the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rains, killing four persons and leaving one injured, on July 21. All five belonged to the same family. IMD has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Reportedly, Patiala witnessed heavy rains along with storms, which caused several trees to fall and damage vehicles.

The state of Karnataka has been witnessed 30% additional rain in June and July, causing widespread damage to life and property. Karnataka received 450.20mm of rainfall between June 1 and July 17, compared to the usual 347.60mm. The capital city of Bangalore has fallen victim to waterlogging and destruction of property and cars especially in the basement. Meanwhile, coastal areas are witnessing moderate to very heavy rainfall.

In Gujarat's Rajkot, flood-like situation has been caused incessant rainfall, which has claimed at least one life, on July 12. An alert has been issued to residents living in the lower reaches. Meanwhile, two National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed in the area, and schools were closed. "We have around 500 backup ambulances and over 400 tractors and dumpers, said Rajkot Collector Arun Mahesh Babu.

Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh is likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall in the next few days, reported IMD, on July 11. According to IMD forecast, extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Telangana between July 10 and 12, between July 10 and 14 in Maharashtra and Gujarat, between July 13 and 14 in Saurashtra and Kutch. Meanwhile, the rains are expected between July 11 and 14 in Goa.
