Chandrayaan-3 Soft Landing This Evening, All Eyes On ISRO Mission
The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) ambitious third Moon mission, Lander Module (LM) of Chandrayaan 3, is all set to land on the lunar surface today evening. Scientists are awaiting the soft landing, which would mark the success of the ISRO Chandrayaan-3 Mission. The Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft comprises a propulsion module (weighing 2,148 kg), a lander (1,723.89 kg), and a rover (26 kg).

Chandrayaan 3: Vikram Land Sends Moon Surface, To Make Soft Landing On Aug 23
he Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) unveiled videos recorded by Chandrayaan 3's Vikram lander on Friday. One of the videos, filmed by the Lander Position Detection Camera (LPDC) on August 15 while attached to the propulsion module, provides a clear view of Moon craters. Another video, captured by the Lander Imager (LI) Camera-1, offers a glimpse of Earth, albeit in a smaller form.

Chandrayaan 3 Successfully Launches From Sriharikota Space Centre
Chandrayaan 3 finally launched successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. With the end of the 25 hour 30-minute countdown, the ISRO scientists launched the GSLV rocket, which is the third attempt of India to make a smooth and easy landing on the surface of the Moon, on August 23. If successful, India will become the fourth nation to reach the Moon's surface.

South Korea Launches 1st Lunar Orbiter On SpaceX Rocket
South Korea deployed its first lunar orbiter as it ramps up its space projects with the goal of landing a probe on the moon by 2030. It took out from Florida's Cape Canaveral U.S. Space Force Station aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket. South Korea hopes to become the world's seventh lunar explorer, and the fourth in Asia, after China, Japan, and India, with Danuri.

Nokia's Nishant Batra To Initiate First 4G Network On The Moon
Nishant Batra, a top executive at Nokia, is leading a project to establish the first 4G cellular network on the Moon for NASA's ambitious Artemis moon-landing program. Talking about the Nokia lunar connectivity project, Batra said, "If you run a 4G network, on the moon, then this device will work there." However, NASA will make a human landing on the Moon by 2024 and demonstrate Nokia-established network.

MP Man Gifts 1 Acre Land On Moon To His Son On Birthday
Abhilash Mishra, a resident of Bharhut Nagra in Madhya Pradesh's Satna town, gifted one acre of land to his son Avyaan Mishra on his second birthday, on December 15. Mishra works in a private company in Bangalore. He purchased the land from the International Lunar Registry situated in New York and paid Rs 1 lakh. ''Avyaan has also been given citizenship of the moon land,'' said Mishra.

China’s Lunar Rock Samples Show Lava Flowed On Moon
China's Chang'e-5 mission revealed that the moon's surface oozed lava, some 2 billion years ago. A chemical analysis of the volcanic rocks confirmed that the moon remained volcanically active much more longer than its size would suggest possible. NASA To Explore Moon's South Pole Through 'VIPER' By 2023
NASA stated on September 20 that it plans to send an ice-seeking rover 'VIPER' to the Nobile Crater in the Moon's south pole in 2023. This robot is to explore water ice beneath the surface that can potentially work as rocket fuel for future trips to Mars and beyond afield. The robot is called Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER). It's about the size of a golf cart.

SpaceX Wins $2.9Bn Contract To Send Humans To Moon For Artemis 2024
NASA on April 16 announced a $2.9 billion contract with Elon Musk's SpaceX for its requirement of a spacecraft to take two humans to the Moon under Artemis 2024 mission. NASA chose SpaceX over Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and American defense contractor Dynetics Inc. Moreover, the US’ space body also confirmed to perform test flights before sending humans to the Moon in the first-ever commercial lander possibly carrying a woman.
