Man Carves Mountains To Build 3Km Road: Odisha
Harihar Behera hailing from Odogaon block in Odisha’s Nayagarh district has constructed a 3 km road by carving out mountains to provide better connectivity with the neighbouring areas. It took him 30 years to construct the road. After repeatedly requesting the authorities for the same, he took the matter into his own hands. After finishing farm work, he and his elder brother continued with the road construction.

Science Ministry Says Non-Uniform Himalayas May Cause Large Tremors
The Science Ministry has stated that non-uniformity of Himalayas' might lead to "significantly large earthquake events" in future. The study has revealed that the Himalayas have developed a crystal property, anisotropy, that results in causing earthquakes. Studying seismic activity of 167 earthquakes, it cited Indo-Eurasia collision, happening for the past 50 million years, as the reason behind anisotropy. Dead Declared US Hiker Back To Life After 45 Minutes of Heart Failure
A US based Hiker, Michael Knapinski who was declared dead of heart failure was surprisingly found alive after 45 minutes. The 45-year-old Michael who lost his track in the Mount Rainer National Park, was air-lifted on the next day and admitted to a Seattle hospital. However, his pulse and heart stopped to perform, but started again after 45 minutes. Although, he woke up only after two days.

Nepal Govt Sets Up COVID-19 Guidelines For Foreign Mountaineers
Nepal government has issued a list of safety guidelines for foreign mountaineers to lower risk of virus spread. Reportedly, Nepal's culture and tourism ministry has suggested a seven-day quarantine and carrying a compulsory COVID-19 negative test report, taken 72 hours prior to the travel. Tourists are also required to carry an entry permit and documents proving they have insurance of USD 5000.
