Khargone Violence: Digvijaya Singh Slams BJP-led MP Govt
Former MP CM Digvijaya Singh came down heavily on the BJP-led state government in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the communal violence in the state is a failure on part of the administration. Digvijaya also claimed that the BJP government is weaponising communal conflicts, adding that they divide Hindus and Muslims for their own political gain. He also called for an investigation into the Khargone incident, to ascertain the facts.

Govt Plans To Impose Surcharge On Liquor & Other Services To Fund Cow Welfare
The Madhya Pradesh government is planning to levy a surcharge on products such as liquor and services offered by local governments in order to raise Rs 100 Crore to fund the state's cow shelters. According to reports, the cow shelter board is in need of Rs 160 crores to feed the cows living in 1,300 shelters. Hence, CM Shivraj Chauhan asked the districts to give a proposal at the earliest.

Madhya Pradesh: Teacher Holds Classes Under Neem Tree Using Loudspeaker
Since internet access is not available for all, a teacher in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh is taking classes under a neem tree. Reportedly, A loudspeaker is mounted on the highest branch of the tree and is connected to a mobile phone, through which the curriculum is broadcasted. The state government is also running various programmes on Doordarshan and AIR to promote education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
