DMK MP NR Elangovan's Son Died In Road Accident

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu NR Elangovan's son Rakesh (22) died in a road accident on March 10. MP’s son Rakesh was traveling from Puducherry to Chennai along with one more passenger. The car crashed into a road divider injuring the passenger and killing Rakesh on the spot. Notably, in 2020, NR Elangovan a former advocate became a Rajya Sabha member.

Bus Accident Kills 3, Leaves 28 Injured In Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh's Alirapura, three persons were killed and 28 others got injured when the bus they were travelling in fell into the Melkhodra river, on January 2. The accident took at around 6 am near Chandpur village. Meanwhile, the bus was on its way from Gujrat's Chotta Udepur to Alirapura, said Manoj Kumar Singh, SP. Reportedly, doctors were directed to provide adequate medical support to the injured people.

Desert Cat Presence Reported In MP's Panna Tiger Reserve

Uttam Kumar Sharam, the field director of Madhya Pradesh's Panna Tiger Reserve (PTR) said that we've found the photo presence of an Indian Desert Cat for the first time in the Reserve. The cat's presence was captured by a tourist in the reserve's Akola buffer zone during the night safari. Reportedly, the feline is famous to survive without water and its toes are said to be cushion-like.

MP Man Kills Wife For Failing To Give Towel On Time When Bathing

In a shocking incident, Rajkumar Bahe (50) killed his wife Pushpa Bai (45) in rage for not giving him a towel on time, after taking bath on the evening of November 7 in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat. Reportedly, Pushpa asked her husband to wait as she was washing utensils. However, Rajkumar killed her by hitting on his wife's head. The police have arrested the accused.

Lighting Strikes Claim 68 lives In UP, MP & Rajasthan

Lightning amid rainfall across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan claimed a total of 68 lives on July 11. Reportedly, among the 68 deceased, 41 cases were from UP, 20 from Rajasthan and the rest seven died in MP. Besides, over 10 people have also suffered injuries in Rajasthan so far. MP Govt Announces Rs 1 Lakh For Kin Of COVID Victims During 2nd Wave

The Madhya Pradesh government on May 20 announced that families of those who died during second COVID-19 wave will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh. Reportedly, the state has recorded over 3,500 coronavirus fatalities since March 2021. Earlier, the government had promised monthly aid of Rs 5,000 to children who became orphan during the pandemic, along with free ration, education and interest-free loans to guardians of those children.
