MSRTC Workers' Protest: Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte's Residence Searched

Mumbai police conducted various searches at the residence of Gunaratna Sadavarte (lawyer), for alleged connection with the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) workers' protest. Earlier on April 9, Mumbai Esplanade court sent Sadavarte to police custody till April 11. Following the attack of Sharad Pawar's residence on April 8, the court also sent 109 accused in the case to a 14-day Judicial Custody.

Bus Services From Nashik To Gujrat Resumed With Full Capacity: MSRTC

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation's (MSRTC) Nashik division has resumed the bus services from Nashik to various locations in Gujrat." While the state transport utility has already resumed its service from Nashik to Surat from Sunday, the services to other destinations will begin from Monday", KS Patil division traffic officer said in a statement. The service was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Maharashtra: Truck Rams MSRTC Bus; 1 Killed, 16 Injured

In a tragic incident, a MSRTC bus, traveling from Satara to Mumbai, was severely hit by an unidentified truck on the expressway, leaving one dead and 16 injured. Reportedly, the accident took place near Panvel exit on November 26. The passenger sitting behind the driver died on the spot while others were severely injured. "After investigating the nearby CCTV footage, the [truck] driver will be arrested," says API Subhash Pujari.

Maharashtra Resumes Inter-District Bus Services; No E-pass Required

Maharashtra Government has decided to resume inter-district bus services of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation from August 19. With the new guidelines, passengers will be allowed to use the services of the inter-district buses without requiring e-pass.
