Mysuru Records 125 Cases Of Black Fungal Infection 'Mucormycosis'

At least 125 cases of "mucormycosis", a black fungal infection, have been registered in Mysuru following the decreasing occurrence of Covid-19 in the state. “There were no fresh admissions at the hospital until Thursday and Friday,” said Dr. Nanjaraj CP, Dean and Director of the Mysore Medical College and Research Institute. “To ensure that infection (mucormycosis) does not spread further, surgery is performed in many patients,” he added.

Mucormycosis Declared Epidemic In Rajasthan As Cases Cross 100 Mark
