MP HC Revokes NSA Against 4 Muslims, Fines State for Improper Detention
The Madhya Pradesh High Court withdrew National Security Act (NSA) charges against four Muslim men, who were booked by the Rajgarh Collector for allegedly 'carrying swords during a Muharram procession'. Govt Prohibits Immersion of Ganesh Idols and Burial of Tazias: Lucknow
Public gatherings for the festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Muharram will not be permitted this year. According to an order issued by the joint commissioner of Law, Police and Order, the prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC, will be extended till September 15. The immersion of Ganesh idols and burial of Tazias will not be permitted. Police confirmation would be required for any gathering of more than five people.
