Indian Navy Unfurls World's Largest National Flag In Mumbai: Navy Day

Celebrating National Navy Day, the Western Naval Command unfurled the world's largest national flag at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai on December 4. It also overlooked Mumbai's iconic Gateway of India. The flag was made of Khadi by the Khadi and Village Industries. Reportedly, the flag measured 225 feet in length, 150 feet in width and weighed around 1,400 kg.

Bombay HC Approves Bail Plea Of Sudha Bharadwaj; Bhima Koregaon Case

The Bombay High Court (HC) on December 1, approved the default bail plea of activist Sudha Bharadwaj, an accused in Elgar Parishad Bhima Koregaon case. The court directed her to approach a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court regarding bail conditions. Activist Bharadwaj is going to appear before NIA, which would the decide bail conditions, on December 8. Sudha Bharadwaj is in Byculla Women's Prison in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Schools For Classes 1-7 In Mumbai To Open After 15 Days

The schools for students of classes 1 to 7 will not open from December 1 in Maharashtra's Mumbai. The reopening date for schools has been extended from December 1 to December 15 for Mumbai. Reportedly, the government took the decision in the view of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. However, schools in other districts of Maharashtra will open on December 1 as per the instruction of the government.

Atleast 1,000 travelers landed in Mumbai from Africa in the last 15 days.
