Mumbai Metro Phase-1 Will Be Operational In December End
In Mumbai, phase-1 of the metro line, Bandra Kurla Complex to densely congested MIDC Marol Naka, or Terminals 1 and 2, is said to be operational from year end, announced the concerned authority. According to sources, phase 3 of the Metro Line 3 or ‘Aqua Line’ Metro Rail Corridor that links South Mumbai’s Colaba/Cuffe Parade to BKC to Aarey Colony and SEEPZ, all set to become fully operational in December-January.

On a visit here, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the reputed Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Pandal in Parel today. Shah offered prayers to the lord Ganpati at the famous Ganesh Mandal. Amit Shah and his family make an annual trip to Mumbai and visit, the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja. Later, Shah is set to to participate in the Laxmanrao Inamdar Memorial Lecture, at the Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Convocation Hall.

2 Injured After Speeding Bike Rams Into Car In Mumbai's Chandivali; Video Goes Viral
Another incident of car accident has come to light from Mumbai's Chandivali area where a car trying to take a U-turn hit a speeding motorcycle. It can be seen in the video that the car which is coming from the other side of the road was taking a U-turn or taking a right turn to enter into the colony and a bike rams into the car.

Last Rites Of Nitin Desai To Be Held On August 4
The last rites of art director of Bollywood Nitin Desai is scheduled to be held on August 4. Notably, the prominent name of the Bollywood industry died at the age of 57. Nitin Desai was found hanging at his apartment in Maharashtra. The police suspected it to be a case of suicide. Furthermore, upon hearing the demise of Nitin Desai, the Bollywood fraternity mourned the death and expressed condolences.

Crane Breakdown During Metro Work Led To Traffic And Blockade: Mumbai
The breakdown of a crane used in metro construction work resulted in traffic snarls and blockades on LBS road in Bhandup, leading to commuters' suffering delays. Many commuters took to Twitter to complain about the mismanagement. Sharing a video of a blockade caused by the crane machine, a Twitter user wrote, " suffering from heavy traffic since 11 am last morning. Please do such major metro works at night."

Eight People Booked In Cricketer Prithvi Shaw Selfie Row
Oshiwara Police registered a case of riot, extortion and criminal intimidation against eight people for attacking cricketer Prithvi Shaw in a selfie row. Notably, on February 16, two women approached Shaw for a selfie which soon escalated into an argument and fight. They smashed Shaw's car, attacked him and demanded Rs 50,000. Of eight two were identified asShobhit Thakur and Sana or Sapna Gill, who denied allegations, said police.

Live In Partner Murders Girlfriend Over Heated Argument, Arrested
In Mumbai, a live-in partner allegedly killed his girlfriend and hid her body in bed storage, confirmed police on February 15. The accused, identified as Hardik had a heated argument over household expenses and his unemployment with Megha, the victim, and in anger he murdered her. He fled the spot and sold some household stuff. However, before he could leave the city, the Mumbai Police arrested Hardik.

Several Parts Of Mumbai Waterlogged; IMD Predicts Rainfall For Next 24 Hours
The city of Mumbai is experiencing water-logging across several areas due to incessant heavy rainfall, on October 8. The IMD has predicted that Mumbai will receive moderate to heavy rain with a cloudy sky, for the next 24 hours. IMD has also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Yanam in the upcoming couple of days.
