Heavy Rains Pause Life In Mumbai, Other Cities Of Maharashtra

Advancement of monsoon season brought heavy rains in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra on June 9. The Indian Meteorological Department recorded rainfall at 50.4 mm and 65.4 mm in Mumbai. According to the Chief PR Officer of Mumbai Central Railway, heavy rains have caused waterlogging on tracks, thus cancelling train services. Earlier also, the IMD warned four days of heavy rainfalls in the city since June 9.
