Mumbai Indians Replaces Jasprit Bumrah In IPL 2023

Ahead of IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians have roped in Sandeep Warrier, a seasoned right-arm fast bowler, as a substitute player for Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently injured. With more than 200 matches under his belt in the domestic circuit, including 69 T20 games, Sandeep has taken a total of 362 wickets across formats in his career so far. Sandeep will join the Mumbai Indians in first match against RCB.

IPL 2021: Skipper Rohit Sharma Fined Rs 12 Lakh For Slow Over Rate

The IPL organizing body has slapped a whopping fine of Rs 12 lakh on the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma for bowling at a slow over-rate. Rohit was fined for the April 20 match against the Delhi Capitals played at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. Citing it as MI’s first IPL Code of Conduct breach for the season the organisers stated that the fine was "minimum over rate offences".

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard smashed the biggest six of IPL 2021 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17. Pollard slammed three sixes in his quick-knock of 35 runs off just 22 balls on Saturday, best among them being of 105 metres long. With this, he also outstripped Royal Challengers Bangalores' (RCB) Glenn Maxwell's record, who had hit a 100-metre six earlier this season.

Cricketer Krunal Pandya Held At Mumbai Airport With Excess Valuables

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on November 12 held cricketer Krunal Pandya at the Mumbai airport for allegedly possessing unaccounted valuables. A DRI official said that Krunal had gold and other valuable items with him while returning from Dubai following the IPL tournament. The 29-year-old cricketer played 16 matches for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 and managed to score 109 runs and struck six wickets.
