In Maharashtra, Suresh Malkani (73,) the president of the Vivekananda Education Society (VES), Chembur, filed a complaint against Vishwak Enterprises owner Rahul Chite, in Dombivali for allegedly cheating him of Rs 10 lakhs. The Mumbai Police has received a threat to once again terrorise Maharashtra's capital Mumbai. Till now, where these threats were being received by the police through phone calls and e-mails, now a person has threatened to terrorize Mumbai through Twitter. The police said that they received the mail around 11:00 am, which read, "I am going to blast Mumbai very soon." Taking this message seriously, the Mumbai Police started investigation.

After Salman Khan received another 'death threat' the Mumbai Police issued a lookout circular (LOC) against the accused, who have been sending threats to the Bollywood actor. This is not the first time Salman famous as "Bhaijaan" received death threats. In Maharashtra's Pune-Mumbai express Highway, a tragic bus accident occurred. The private bus carrying 40 passengers fell into a gorge leading to death of 8 passengers and left over 25 people injured. As per police, the accident happened near Shingroba temple on the Old Mumbai-Pune highway. Further rescue operation is underway and more details are awaited.
