Maharashtra Govt Appoints New BMC Commissioner

The Maharashtra Government appointed new Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal. Notably, the term of BMC members came to an end by March 7,  therefore, the Government elected Singh administer the financial functions in the civic area. A very new aspect to be seen, Mumbai got it's first administrator in four decades because of the delay for conducting elections in the past years.

To Supply Water In Hyderabad, Telangana Govt Allots Rs. 1200 Cr

Telangana government sanctioned Rs. 1200 crores to improve drinking water supply of Hyderabad Urban local bodies and Gram Panchayats. The work will be done by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewarage Board (HMWS&SB). Kolkata Civic Body Launches e-Meet Sessions To Solve Civic Issues

In order to solve civic issues during the pandemic, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has decided to launch e-meet services facility from June 9. Reportedly, under the programme, municipal commissioner Binod Kumar will virtually meet citizens twice a week, i.e, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11AM to noon addressing issues including property tax, licenses and parking.
