Earthquake Of 5.3 Magnitude Hits Western Afghanistan; At Least 26 Dead

An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude hit western Afghanistan on January 17, in which 26 people were killed. Reportedly, hundreds of homes were damaged in the western Badghis province, reported Al Jazeera. "Five women and four children are among the 26 people killed in the earthquake," said the spokesperson. Meanwhile, more than 700 houses had been damaged and the damage is also reported in the Muqr district.
