Kolkata To Soon Have Virtual Partition Museum, Says Scholar Rituparna Roy

In Kolkata, there will be a Partition museum, albeit a virtual one for now, said partition scholar Rituparna Roy. The museum, which has been inspired by European museum culture, will showcase the art and literature that reflects the bond between people across the barbed wires and the trauma the land endured after the partition. Roy, who is spearheading the Kolkata Partition Museum Project, said the aim is to remember partition.

Sheikh Mohammed Inaugurates 'Museum Of The Future': Dubai

Dubai has opened the Museum of the Future, which is being called "the most beautiful building in the world". Reportedly, the museum will take visitors to the future, as far as the year 2071, and has been designed by 'Killa Design'. "The Museum of the Future is a living museum," said Mohammed Al Gergawi, DFF, Chairman. The seven-storey museum was inaugurated by PM Sheikh Mohammed and can accommodate 1000 people.

Partition Museum In WB Represents The Essence Of Partition Movement Of India

A partition museum built on two trams has been inaugurated earlier this week by the Minister Transport, Housing of West Bengal, Firhad Hakim, which represents the essence of India’s partition movement over a time span of 1900 to 1947. The first tram focuses on the resistance against colonial rule from the 1900s. The second car highlights the mass migration and rehabilitation that took place after independence.

New York To Open Its First LGBTQ Museum By 2024

New York Historical Society is planning to expand 70,000 feet to make space for the establishment of the American LGBTQ+ Museum. The museum will be placed on the second floor with two galleries and a roof garden. It will comprise the rich heritage and culture of the LGBTQ society. 4,000-Yr-Old Rock Excavated In France; Probably Oldest 3D Map In Europe

A 4000-year-old stone, believed to be the oldest three-dimensional map in Europe, has been unearthed by archaeologists in France. Known as 'Saint-Belec Slab', the 2.2mtrX1.5mtr stone exhibits the engravings of Odet River and the surrounding places. Interestingly, the slab was earlier found in 1900 from a prehistoric burial ground but was lost later. Dating back to the early Bronze Age, the stone was excavated from a Paris museum in 2014.
