CSIR Scientists Help Sikkim Farmers To Grow Vitamin D Rich Mushroom
To boost the income of Sikkim farmers, scientists at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) have begun a project that cultivates 'Shiitake' - an enhanced variety of Mushroom. Reportedly, Shiitake is sold at Rs 3000/kg in the Delhi markets since it has a "very good smoky and meaty flavour". Reportedly, three food processing cluster centres are being set up with the help of MSME Ministry.

Health Risk: Man Injects Himself With Magic Mushroom, Suffers Organ Failure
To treat depression and anxiety, a 30-year-old US citizen injected himself with the psychedelic drug, found in "magic" mushrooms. Skipping his medicines, the man resorted to consume the mushrooms which are potent to reduce opioid. Green Light Glowing Mushrooms Discovered in Meghalaya
Researchers have discovered the phenomenon behind bright green light-emitting mushrooms in Meghalaya. As per reports, the luminescence in Roridomyces Phyllostachydis emerges from an enzyme named Luciferase. When the light-emitting molecules have been catalyzed by the enzyme, a green light is emitted due to the presence of oxygen.
